What is a private service?

This is a service that is provided by bussinessses; they usually are run for profit. They are often paid for by the service user using them.

This is a non-profit making service whic provides services alongside those provided by pulic and private sector organisations. Usually these services include paid staff as well as volunteers.

They: give advice about STIs, contreception, pregnancy, sexual assault and abortion; provide contraceptives and medication; are free and available to everyone; traget specific vulnerable groups.

This organisation supports people with learning disabilities. They value and support their service users, carers and families. This organisation allows people with learning disabilities to participate in activities like everyone else.

They provide: residential care for individuals with learning disabilities, education services. training for people working with those who have learning disabilities, awarness of learning disability, changes in prejudice, discrimination and stigma.
