Can anti-depressant be used in patients with Dementia?
No! All anti-muscarinic drugs should be minimised in dementia patient, as it can impair cognitive function.
E.g. anti-depressant (amitriptyline, paroxetine etc)
antihistamine (chlorphenamine, promethazine)
anti-psychotic (olanzapine, quetiapine)
