What are the types of learning transfer?
Positive, Negative, Zero Bilateral

Explain positive transfer
When the learning of one skill helps or aids the learning of another, and is when two skills have similar shape and form.

Explain negative transfer
When the learning of one skill hinders the learning of another, and happens when the two skills have a similar environment in which they are performed but this could cause confusion when the actions are different.

Explain zero transfer
When the learning of one skill has no effect on the learning of another skill, when the two skills have no similarities.

Explain Bilateral transfer
When the learning of one skill is passed across the body from limb to limb.

State an example of positive transfer
The netball pass has a similar action to the basketball pass so it would aid the learning of one to the another.

A serve in tennis may have a negative effect on the badminton serve because the two actions are different.
