asocial, up to 2 months old. they cannot tell the difference between human and inhuman, preference for familiar adults, happier in the presence of humans.

indiscriminate attachment, 2-7 months. preference for people and familar adults, no separation or stranger anxiety, accept cuddles and comfort from any adult.

filmed 4 month old babies in face to face interaction with primary mums + dads, and secondary dads, primary dads like primary ups spent more time interactive, imitating and smiling at the baby, suggesting relationship was based more on response
