What is visual guidance and one example?
When a coach of other performer demonstrates a skill to another performer while trying to learn it, a gymnastics coach showing a video of another performer completing the skill or hitting a tennis ball.

What is verbal guidance and one example?
Being instructed what to do verbally, through words by a coach, throwing a ball in netball

What is manual and mechanical guidance and one example?
Manual is when the coach is actually in contact with the performer, a coach spotting a back handspring in gymnastics, and mechanical is when a coaching aid is used (physical item), a belt in trampolining or stabilisers on a bike.

What is guidance?
Information to aid the learning of a skill; can be given visually, verbally, manually and mechanically.

Why is just verbal guidance not the best type of guidance for a begginner?
Because if the performer is new to the sport, they won't understand what the skill should actually look like, in order to be able to complete it. Visual and verbal guidance used together is good for a begginner.
