Define visual guidance
When a performer can see something , an image tends to last longer than any other form of guidance. This helps develop a mental image, an example of this would be poster or pictures. This is used for beginners.

Define Verbal Guidance
Commonly used with visual guidnace. It involves another person ( such as a coach or teacher) telling the learner what they are doing right or wrong. This helps direct the performer to specfic movements, this is used for elite athletes.

Define Manual Guidance
Physically moving the performer , an example would be a coach helping someone serve in tennis.

Define Mechanical Guidance
The use of eqipment to aid the performer, an example would be arm bands in swimming

Define Positive feedback
Tells you how well you have done. Fedback givern when something positive happens, used for beginners.

Define Negative Feedback
Tells you how bad you have done.Givern when something bad happens.

Define knowledge of results
The outcome of results , helps with beginners confidence.

Define Knowledge of Performance
Gives feedback on the performance of the player alone. They do not look at end results.
