1. what is the function of the nucleus

  • Contains genetic material, including DNA, which controls the cell's activities.
  • Tiny structures where protein synthesis occurs
  • It is permeable to some substances but not to others and so controls the movement of substances in and out of the cell
  • Organelles that contains the enzymes for respiration, and where most energy is released in respiration.

2. what components does a cell need to have to have to be a cell ?

  • a cell membrane, cytoplasm, DNA and mitchondria
  • a cell membrane, cytoplasm, DNA and ribosomes
  • a cell membrane, cytoplasm, DNA and a vacuole
  • a cell membrane, cytoplasm and DNA

3. what is the function of the cell membrane

  • Contains genetic material, including DNA, which controls the cell's activities
  • Holds the cell together, separating the inside of the cell from the environment outside, controlling what can and cannot enter or leave the cell
  • Organelles that contains the enzymes for respiration, and where most energy is released in respiration
  • A jelly-like material that contains dissolved nutrients and salts and structures called organelles. It is where many of the chemical reactions happen

4. what is the function of mitchondria

  • Contains genetic material, including DNA, which controls the cell's activities.
  • Tiny structures where protein synthesis occurs.
  • A permeable wall to some substances but not to others and so controls the movement of substances in and out of the cell.
