Disposal of Waste Materials
(NEG) Textiles factories can generate a lot of waste fabric and other materials. eg - packaging. This waste ends up on landfill sites and takes years to decompose.

(POS) Reuse waste material eg. use fabric cutoffs in new products. Break waste fabcirc back down into fibres that canbe reused. eg- insulation, or respun.

Recycle our old clothes- the deconstructed parts can be used in new products. Reduce waste- by using less packaging. Use biodegradable fabric.

Problems Caused By Cotton Farming
(NEG) Artificial fertiliser and pesticides are used to increase crop yields. These fertilisers can pollute rivers and harm wildlife. Pesticides can kill other creatures too. Use Organic cotton or other natural fibres gorwn organically.

Disposal of Toxic Chemicals
Toxic chemical are used in dyeing and finishing processes. eg. bleach, toxic dyes. These are contained in waste water that can end up in streams and rivers.

Disposal of Toxic Chemicals
Remove chemicals before the water leaves the factory - the chemical sludge can be disposed of properly. Use non-toxic dyes (natural substances) and unbleached fabrics.
