Oculomotor. Moves all of the extraocular muscles except lateral rectus (CN VI) and superior oblique (CN IV). Innervates sphincter of pupil and ciliary muscles

Trochlear nerve, innervates the superior oblique muscle of the eye

What is the name and function of CN V?
Trigeminal. 1) sensation to face, sinuses and muscous membranes 2) innervates the muscles of mastication (medial pterygoid, lateral pterygoid, masseter & temporalis) + anterior belly of digastric, mylohyoid, tensor veli palatini and tensor tympani.

What is the name and function of CN VI?
Abducens. Innervates lateral rectus muscle of eye

What is the name and function of CN VII?
Facial. Motor: muscles of facial expression, posterior belly of the digastric, stylohyoid and stapedius
Sensory: a small area around the concha of the ear.
Special Sensory: taste on anterior 2/3 of the tongue
Also supplies most glands of head & neck

What is the name and function of CN VIII?
Vestibulocochlear. Hearing (through cochlear branches) and balance (through vestibular branches)

What is the name and function of CN IX?
Sensory: Innervates oropharynx, carotid body and sinus, posterior 1/3 of the tongue, middle ear cavity and Eustachian tube.

Special sensory: taste to the posterior 1/3 of the tongue.

Motor: Innervates stylopharyngeus muscle of the pharynx.

Vagus.

Sensory: skin of external acoustic meatus + surfaces of laryngopharynx & larynx. Visceral sensation to heart & abdo
Motor: most muscles of pharynx, soft palate & larynx
Parasymp.: smooth muscle of trachea, bronchi & GI tract. Heart rate

innervates the sternocleidomastoid and trapezius
