What are the three states of matter?
solid,liquid and gas
1 of 5
how are the particles arranged in a gas, liquid and a solid?
solid = ordered close together; Liquid = spaced out but joined; gas = randomly spaced wide gap
2 of 5
What is conduction?
particles vibrate passing on thermal energy by colliding with near particles.
3 of 5
Why do metals conduct?
metals have a free electron that is free to move within the metal, at the hot end alot of kinetic energy, fast collisions
4 of 5
Out of the three matters which has the strongest force?
solid
