TRADE CONTROL
CITIES ( the convention of international trade in endangered species) APPENDIX 1 Inc species threatened with extinction and places a complete ban on trade execpt special agreements SPECIES INCLUDED TIGER AND BLUE WHALE ETC
2 of 10
TRADE CONTROL CONTINUED
APPENDIX 2 inc animals threatened with extinction also and if trade is not closely controlled species include VENUS FLYTRAP AND HIPPOPOTAMUS, APPENDIX 3 inc species from particular countries which need assistance in protection of species e.g. Walrus

CAPTIVE BREEDING AND RELEASE
When species endangered can be sensible to take animals and keep them in zoos or plants in botanic gardens so they can breed or create more seeds to be released back to wild to boost population os specie of plant or animal.
7 of 10
PROBLEMS WITH CAPTIVE BREEDING AND RELEASE
Not enough known about breeding requirements place, time so unable to provide right conditions for successful breeding. Small gene pools may cause interbreeding to occur, also harmful genes can cause unwanted characteristcs to occur in offspring.

PROTECTION AREAS
By creating a protected area does not entirely mean the area will be protected as may not be protected from external influences such as air pollution but is easily to protect from internal problems.
9 of 10
LAND OWNERSHIP
EXAMPLE OF THIS IS RSPB RESERVES AND NATIONAL THRUST LANDS. By owning an area this allows the person to do whatever they want with it as it theirs and no management restrictions.
