Define attachment
An enduring love bond between a child and a caregiver that provides security and stability

Deprivation
Term given to the loss of attachment that has been formed. May occur through divorce, death, or daycare

Privation
Can occur if a child suffers neglect or abuse, or if a care giver finds it difficult to bond with a child for reasons such as serious postnatal depression
