Because they taste better it may be less obvious that they are high in fat and therefore tempting to eat more.

Benefits include: high in energy; contain nutrients; contain unsaturated fats; better for health. Drawbacks include: high in energies easy to eat too much.

Makes fats/oils less easily recognisable or food likely to have high fat content.
