What is Secondary Research
this is research that makes use of information that has been previously researcged by someone else

what is quantitative data
numerical data that is written down or measured with numbers. E.G shoe size and height.

what is qualitative data
descriptive data that is harder to analyse. gives in depth answers.

data collecting - Random
simplest and least sophisticated way, everyone has an equal probability of being chosen.

data collecting - stratified random
this is more accurate, the intention is to get a 'mirror image', an exact copy of the population that is being studied.

non-probablility sampling technique where the assesmbled sample has the same proportions of individuals as the entire population with respect to known characteristics

interview methods - Participant
the interviewer is usually a professional or paid researcher, sometimes trianed, who posed questions to the interviewee.

an investigation that is under cover

an investigation that is not under cover and the interviewes are aware

take place outside the office under causal ways.

unstructured
questions are not pre-arranged they are made up as the interview goes along.
