Why should the Elgin Marbles be returned?

They belong to the greeks, greece is in debt so they need help by getting more tourists, they were built in greek soil, british ruined them

Britian will lose tourists, there were no laws when Lord Elgin shipped them over, why do greeks suddenly want them back, museum would be empty
