Why do we need enzymes?
An enzyme is a biological catalyst. A catalyst is a substance that helps speed up a reaction without being used up. Some examples of enzymes are protease which breaks down proteins and amylase which breaks down carbohydrates. Enzymes can also be seen as chemical scissors because they break things down
