Grammatical Variation

  • Common feature of Northern English = Right Dislocation = reapeat of subject 'he', 'me'
  • 'yous' = second person pro noun (plural) - Northern, normally Manchester
  • Some maintain archaic pro nouns for example: Yorkshire has 'thee' and 'thou'
  • 'ing' varieties in Northern English eg. 'I'm liking this' and 'What are you wanting'
