Triangular trade was a three staged journey made by european slave ships.The first was called the outward passage where ships would leave the uk and arrive in africa where they would trade arms textile and wine for slaves gold and ivory the second was the middle passage where the slaves were sold at auction alongside the other objects but in exchange the brits received sugar tobacco and rum and then the brits returned home with their bounty.
