Background?
- Sudetenland: western part of Czechoslovakia with 3 million German speakers
Events?
- Hitler wanted it and used Sudeten Germans as the excuse.
- Hitler encouraged Henlein( leader of the Nazis in the Sudetenland) to campaign for independance under the pretence of ill treatment and riots broke out.
- Chamberlain was determined to use appeasment.
- 15th September 1938, Chamberlain flew to Germany.
- Berchtesgaden. Hitler wanted all German speaking parts of Sudetenland after plebiscites.
