salah: the daily prayers

for sunni muslims the five times for prayer are:

-fajr: before sunrise

-zuhr:after midday

-asr:afternoon

-maghrib:after sunset

-isha:night

differences between shi'a and sunni muslims in prayer:

shi'a muslims only pray 3 times a day 

shi'a muslims believe in using only natural elements when prostrating themselves for prayer

preparation for prayer:

-muslims perform ritual washing(wudu) and make themselves spiritually clean
