What is Salah :
Salah are the 5 daily prayers. Muslims offer Salah because
1) It is commanded in the Qur'an. "Establish regular prayers - at the suns decline till the darkness of the night, and the recital of the Qu'ran for the recital of the Qu'ran at dawn is witnessed. (Surah 17:78).
