LEGER says that has been a decrease of religion in europe. Less people are attending church due to cultural amnesia which is a loss of collective memory. Children use to be taught religion from the extended family and parish church. But now there is a loss of religion given from generation to generation as parents let their children decide themselves what they want to believe in. Social equality has challenged power of the church. Therefore young people do not have a fixed religious identity and are ignorant of traditional religion.
