I'd like to add that if you're having trouble with a controller, it's also worth trying a soft reset first. This involves turning off your PS4, unplugging it for a minute, and then plugging it back in. After the system reboots, try connecting the controller again. Sometimes, minor connectivity issues can be resolved with a soft reset, saving you the trouble of a full controller reset. It's always a good idea to start with the least invasive solution and work your way up if needed.
