Printing

FLAT BED;

• allows colour in certain parts only
• rubbarised surface
• has a screen
• a squeegee forces the colour through a screen which there's one for each colour
• fabric moves whereas the screen remains where it is
• binder (which is similar to yoghurt)is mixed with the dye to create colour
• is the most common method for printing
• once completed it goes through a chamber - a large oven - to dry
• has to be fixed either with steam or acid
