  • There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be open handed towards your brothers and towards the poor and needy in your land.( Deuteronomy 15:11)

This means that everyone should be giving and friendly towards those you know and towards those who need the money.

  • He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honours God.( proverbs 14:31)

Those who are not giving, are being arrogant to God. If you are giving, you are showing respect to God.

  • No-one can serve 2 masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.( Matthew 6:24)
