AEROBIC RESPIRATION
Respiration is a series of enzyme-controlled reactions and linked to ATP synthesis.
A large amount of energy is released due to the splitting of the respiratory substrate e.g. glucose to release carbon dioxide as a waste product and reuniting hydrogen with atmospheric oxygen to produce water.
