Nature of ionising radiation

X-rays have more energy and are capable of passing through matter such as human tissue. When they do so, one of the three events will occur

- X-ryas pass cleanly between the atoms of the matter and are unaltered

- X-rays hit the atoms of the matter and are scattered, relesing their energy as they do so

- X-ryas hit the atoms of the matter…
