TYPES OF MOTION

ROTARY - in a circular motion like a wheel

LINEAR - in a line like a car or conveyor belt

OSCILLATING - back and forth in a circular motion like an electric toothbrush

RECIPROCATING - back and forth in a straight line like a sewing machine needle

LEVERS

A lever is a rigid bar that pivots on a fulcrum.  The input force is called EFFORT and the OUTPUT force is called the load.
