Definitions of Abnormality:

Deviation from Social Norms: 
People are regarded as abnormal when they display behaviour which does not fit into society's idea of normal.
Link to abnormality- A person with schizophrenia may use inappropriate emotions, for example laugh at a funeral which is not consistent with social norms.   

xSocial norms change over time- An older generation will have different opinions about homosexuality than a younger generation. 
x Can be good to break social norms- for example the Suffrage campaign
