how to revise

hello! this is my guide on how to revise/what websites etc to use for different subjects. i hope this helps! included are: english, maths, science, religious studies, geography and languages :)

ps this is my personal opinion, these methods won't work for everyone! x

general good websites/apps and info:

- websites/apps: seneca, bbc bitesize, gcse pod, this one (get revising)

- for practice papers (past papers) go to the exam board website as they also have the examiners report which is common mistakes etc

- for mindmaps, a technique i would recommend is putting the main headings of broad topics, then from memory write everyhting about those topics you can remember. after, get your notes and add anything you missed in a different colour as they are the things you need to revise

- if you are more of a visual learner, use different colours wherever possible so it sticks in your brain better

- stick post it notes with key concepts (eg formulae, keywords+definitions, key quotes) around your house/room in places you see all the time so you can take in the info so it's easier to recall in the exam

- take breaks and time for yourself! exams are super stressful so remember to relax.

- i find that i can't focus and study hard for longer than half an hour without getting distracted, so i do half an hour of revision, take a 5 minute break, then do another half an hour. after this i have a 10 minute break unless it is lunchtime etc. this way i can be…
