Relay neuron - across a synapse, goes from sensory neuron to relay neuron through diffusion after turning into chemical called neurotransmitters.

Involuntary- reflex arc: automatic and rapid response- doesnt involve consicous brain.

Voluntary- Not automatic- have to think about the action.
