Mains Electricity

  • Hazards can be frayed wires, long cables, damaged plugs, water in or around sockets and pushing metal objects into sockets.
  • Frayed Wires - Broken strands of wires will have a higher resistance at one point. When a current flows through it, the heating effect may cause a fire by melting the insulation
