French-Present Tense

The Present Tense is used when talking about something that:

  • Happens regularly-every saturday i go shopping
  • Is happening now-I am talking to you.

-ER verbs

Take the infinitive of the verb, take off the -er and add:

Je -e

Tu -es

Il/Elle/On -e

Nous -ons

Vous -ez

Ils/Elles -ent

-IR verbs

 

 

Take the infinitive of the verb, take off the -ir and add:

Je -is

Tu -is

Il/Elle/On -it

Nous -issons

Vous -issez

Ils/Elles -issent
