- It's estimated that Inter marriage for Jew rose steadily from 3% in 1965 to 17%in the mid-eighties.

- Round about 25% of the Roman Catholics in the U.S. marry outised their faith. For Britain it's 75%.

- In Nepal (where Christians form less than 1% of the population) 53% of the marriages held in one Church were interfaith.

- Interfaith marriages between Protestants and Catholics were once frowned upon but are now accepted by the majority of population.

- In the U.S. research has shown that interfaith marriages are more likely to fail.

- Children in mixed unions are more likely to be raised in the mother's religion rather than the father's faith.
