Explain how someone following Kantian ethics may approach genetic engineering

Kantian ethics is a deontological ethical theory which states you must follow the categorical imperative and his 3  maxims.

Concerning genetic engineering, it can be argued that someone who was following Kantian ethics would disagree with genetic engineering happening on humans but allow it on animals as they were seen as inferior to Kant .
