Environmental Factors affecting the rate of Transpiration

When it is sunny, photosynthesis increases and plants use more carbon dioxide and water. As the pores on the leaves open to let Carbon Dioxide in, water will evaporate out. Transpiration will increase as the light intensity increases.


High temperatures heat the leaves and cause water to evaporate more
