ELIZA test
Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) allows recognition of antibodies to a certain antigen or vise versa. Can be used in medical diagnosis for pathogenic infections (e.g HIV), for allergies or just about anything you can make an antibody for.
Direct ELISA
Uses single antibody complementary to antigen testing for:
1. Antigens from patient sample bound to inside of a well in a well plate.
2. Detection antibody (with enzyme attatched) complementary to antigen of interest added - if antigen of interest present in sample, it will be immobilised on well surface and detection antibody will bind to it.…
