LDR: Resistor thats resistance depends on the light intesity, in bright light = resistance falls low. In darkness = the resistance is highest.
Used in outdoor lighting that's automatic.
Thermistor: Hot conditions = resistance drops low. cool temperatures = resistance goes up (higher).
Used in temperature detectors, e.g in a car engine.
Sensing Circuits: Used to increase power depending on the the conditions that they are in.
Used to operate a fan: as the enviroment gets hotter a Thermistors resistance descreases and takes a smaller share of potential difference from the power supply. So pd across the fixed resistor and the fan increases making the fan go faster.
