Brick in COAHTR

Brick:

• Brick is a pretty stubborn man who shows little to no emotion whatsoever. Even towards the people who he's closest to (i.e. Maggie, Big Daddy, Big Mama)

• He is a raging alcoholic, and it is implied that he drinks in order to "avoid confronting reality". This harsh reality being his feelings towards late best friend Skipper. 

•  Brick is a former athelte who, in his younger days, was described as "slim and firm as a boy" said Williams. However, mentally, he has never properly matured, he has never had what his family would call a proper job as he has just been involved with football. 

• In the play we find out that Skipper took his own life. Brick feels immensly responsible for this due to him being…
