Covalent bonds

There are many different kinds of molecule in your body, and most of the atoms making up these molecules are non-metal atoms. Most non-metal compounds are held together by pairs of electrons, which form covalent bonds. The electrons used in these bonds come from the outermost electron shells of the atoms.
