Aim: To find if there are any differences in obedience levels from 19961 to 2006. To see if there is a gender difference in obedience levels in 2006. To see people's reactions to modelled refusal and to test what effect this may have on their own

Procedure:

29 men and 41 women were recruited by volunteer sample and then put through a two-stage screening process that excluded anyone that may be psychologically vulnerable and anyone who had done more that two lessons of psychology or new or Milgram's study. They were paid £50 for two sessions of 45 minutes
