WJEC unit 1: Our World

Christianity and Judaism:

• God created everything. Six days of activity one day of rest.
• The order of creation: Light and darkness, sea and sky, Land and sea and plants, sun and moon and stars, birds and fish, animals and human beings.

Hinduism:

• Everything existed without a begining and that creation is eternal.

Science:

• Big bang theory- 14 billion years ago, universe expanded, (some christians believe God was the cause of this).

Evolution:

• Charles Darwin- Life ivolved from simple forms to more complex ones.
• some christians belive god is behind evoluatuon.

Hinduism, Judaism & Christianity:

• To respect all life.
• To protect the earth and animals.
• To marry and have sexual relationship.
• To have children.
• To help others through charity.
• To reach moskha (Hinduism only)

Christians, Jews and Hindus

Believe in the existance of a soul that gives humans personality of a soul that gives humans personality and allows them to relate to God.
