Pre-Natal Scanning

Whenever ultrasound passes from one substance to another, a small proportion of it is reflected. Reflections uild up of ultrasound enable pre-natal scanners to build up an image of the developing foetus.

Quality Control

Ultrasound can be used to to find flaws such as cracks inside materials by picking up reflections as they pass through a block.
