The Bible as a basis for making moral decisions
The Bible as a basis for making moral decisions:
The Bible is the holy book of Christians and is the basis of the Christian religion. Many Christians use only the bible when making a moral decision because:
Ø They believe the Bible is the direct word of God, dictated by God to the writers of the Bible books.
Ø The Bible contains teachings on behaviour, which tell Christians how to behave. For example the Decalogue which gives very clear moral guidance.
Ø The Bible contains the teachings of Jesus in how to live. And as Jesus is the sib of God, Christians should follow his teaching about moral decision making. For example in the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus explained the Ten Commandments.
