Messiah

'the annointed one'

Some Jews believe he will bring about an age of messianic peace, which will include rebuilding the temple.

Some Jews pray for the arrival of the messiah

Some Orthodox Jews believe that God has a set date for the arrival of the Messiah, others believe he will come when most needed.

Reform Jews believe that the good deeds of humans will bring about the messianic age of peace.

They believe it is more important to focus on this life than the next one, as there are no clear teachings in the Torah about the messiah.
