  • if natural experiment = researcher has no control

  • Biased Sample (researchers social group)
  • Participants may decline leading to only one particular participant = sample bias

Random Sample - every member of population has an equal chance of being selected

  • Adverts may only leed to particular participants

  • May not be representative (e.g: more obedient)
