Islam Sources of Authority

' The warrior who truly fights for God's cause is he who looks after a widow or a poor person' 

' If you think of God, you will find Him there before you.' 

' God witnesses that there is no diety except Him'

' He begetteth not, nor is he begotten'

' We believe in God, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Jacob...Moses and Jesus, and that given to all prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another.' 

'O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another' 

'To every people was sent an apostle' 

' And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners' 

' People, no prophet or messengers will come after me, and no new faith shall emerge.' 

' Abraham was either a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to God]. And he was not of the polytheists.' 

'Surely We revealed it (Qur'an) on the Night of Qadr...The Night of Qadr is better than a thousand months' 

'I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner' 

' I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and the example of my life (the Sunnah). If you follow these you will not fail.' 

' The Qur'an says " Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel-it is none but he who has brought the Qur'an down upon your heart' 

'We hear and obey. We seek your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the final destination' 

'We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tiding for the Muslims' 

' The Angel Israfil will blow the trumpet to annouce the Day of Judgement. The trumpet is constantly on his lips, awaiting the command from God' 

'On the Day of Judgement the Book of Deeds will be read, in which every small and great thing is recorded'. 

' In paradise, I prepare for the righteous believers what no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heardm and what the deepest mind could never imagine.' 

'Munkar and Nakir will ask "Who is your Lord? Who is your prophet?What is your religion?"' 

'These are two adversaries who have disputed over their Lord. But those who disbelieved will have cut out for them garmets of fire. Poured on their heads will be scalding water'. 

' He knows what is within the heavens and earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare. And God is knowing of that within the breasts.' 

'O God who knows the inmost secrets of our hearts, lead us out of the darkness into the light'. 

'He may let them taste part of the consequences of what theu have done that perhaps they will return to righteousness' 

' O People, listen to me in earnest, worship God, perform your five daily prayers, fast during the month of Ramadan, and offer Zakah. Perform Hajj if you have the means'  

'There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet' 

' What has been revealed to you of the book and established prayer Indeed, prayer prohibits immortality and wrongdoing, and the rememberance of God is greater. And God knows that which you do'. 

' And when you have completed the prayerm remember God standingm sitting, or lying on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish resular prayer. Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.' 

'Salah is the second pillar of the Islamic religion and whoever abadons it, demolishes the very pillar of religion'. 

' If one of you sleeps and misses a prayer, of forgets it, let him offer the prayer when he remembers.' 

' A Muslim who plants a tree or sows a field, from which man, birds, and animals can eat is commiting an act of charity' 

'The one who looks after and works for a widow and for a poor person is like a warrior fighting for God's cause' 

' O those of you who believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous'. 

'People shall observe that Hajj. They will come to you walking or riding'. 

' Whoever amongst you sees an evil, he must change it with his hand. If he is not able to do so, the with his tongue. And if he is not able to do so, then with his heart, and that is the weakest form of faith'. 

' If anyone slew (kill) a person... it would be as if he slew the whole people; and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people.'  

' To those against whom war is made, permission is given to fight, because they are wronged'. 

'Fight in the way of God those who fight against you but do not transgress. Indeed, God does not like transgressors'. 

'He is not a Muslim who goes to bed with a full stomach while his neighbour goes hungry' 

'Their meat will not reach God, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you'. 

' And let there be arising from you a nation inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong,and those will be the sucessful'.
