Describe how the internal combustion engine above does work on the piston :

1. Intake stroke : valve opens, piston drops, air & fuel enters

2. Compression stroke : work is done on the gas, pressure & internal energy & temperature increases

3. Power stroke : adding heat

4. Exhaust stroke : valve opens, gas leaves
