• Aussie Cricket team 'sledging' English batsman so he lost focus.

Deviance: 

• Cheating 
• Ben Johnson used steroids to win at Seoul Olympics 1988. 

Why: 

• Pressure to win
• Gain advantage - drugs
• Competition stress
• Win at all costs attitude
• Lack of role models in his life.

Violence

• Intent to harm 
• Mike Tyson bit off a chunk of Evander Hayfield's ear twice. 

Why:

• Unable to control aggression within game
• Equipment used as a weapon
• Resonse to crowd behaviour (racism)
• Provocation from opponent 
• Important match.
