What does it mean to be ethical in sport?
Being ethical in sport is to play by the rules and to show moral standards of behaviour.

What is sportsmanship?
Sportsmanship is to follow rules and regulations and having the ability to lose gracefully. It involves fairness, generosity and having etiquette.

Examples of goods sportsmanship:
*Shaking hands with the officials and opposition. *Helping an injured opposition. *Congratulating a goal (clapping). *Stopping a game when someone is injured. * Not swearing or being abusive. *Taking defeat well. *Not questioning the officials.

Examples of bad sportsmanship:
*Violent conduct. *Not shaking the oppositions or the referees hand. *Abusive language. *Racial comments or gestures. * Walking away from an official when their talking. *Over-celebrating. *Making fun of other ability.

What is gamesmanship?
Gamesmanship is when you bend the rules to gain an unfair advantage.

Examples of gamesmanship:
*Diving for a penalty in football. *Time-wasting. *Distracting the opposition (Sledging in cricket- bowler and fielder verbally abuse the batter to intimidate and put him off).

What is deviance?
Deviance is human behaviour that is against society's norms and values- behaviour of this kind if often against the law.

Examples of deviance:
*Violence in sport. *Taking performance enhancing drugs. *Cheating in sport. *Hooliganism in football.
